Once again the Monitor prints another story about people unable to pay ever increasing property taxes. Relief is available to people 65 and older, per state law, in every municipality in New Hampshire. It\u2019s called elderly exemption, and every town passes its own limits on income, assets and deduction of property valuation. Call your assessor\u2019s dept. for details, as the application is due in April. For some reason the Monitor chooses not to report on this valuable tax relief, all I can do is let readers know it\u2019s available.<\/p>\n
