Cote d\u2019Ivoire is \u201cpartly free,\u201d with a score of 19 \/ 40 for political rights and 30 \/ 60 for civil rights. Overall score of 49 \/ 100. Our USA is \u201cfree,\u201d with a score of 32 \/ 40 for political rights and 51 \/ 60 for civil rights. Overall score of 83 \/ 100. It could all change, said Snyder. Do we really believe in the rule of law? \u201cStrong democracies can collapse into authoritarianism.\u201d Trump, chuckling as if it\u2019s merely a punchline, says that he\u2019ll, \u201cbe a dictator only on day one.\u201d Really, that\u2019s all it takes.<\/p>\n
