Highlights: \u00a0Reynolds led MV to fourth as a team and was the top local jumper\u00a0at the ski jumping state championship held at Chip Henry Ski Jump in Conway on Thursday. Hanover placed four jumpers in the top eight to win the team title with 386 points. Kennett (360), Plymouth (354), MV (273), Mascoma (96), Concord (91), White Mountains (87), Sunapee (82) and\u00a0Lebanon (81) were the other team scores.<\/p>\n

Girls\u2019 Basketball<\/h2>\n

Laconia 48, Concord Christian 46<\/p>\n

Key players: Laconia<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Macy Swormstedt (20 points), Renee Bergeron (9 points), Mekhia Burton (9 points), Maddy Mousseau (8 points); Concord Christian<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0Lilli Carlile (16 points), Emma Smith (15 points), Kate Smith (7 points), Kayden Rioux (6 points)<\/p>\n

Highlights: \u00a0Mousseau made a 3 with 12 seconds left in the game for Laconia\u2019s first and only lead on senior night, handing Concord Christian its first loss of the season. Concord Christian led by as much as 29-12 with two minutes left in the half, but Laconia went into halftime on a 7-0 run and trimmed the Kingsmen\u2019s lead to 41-29 heading into the fourth. Carlile scored the 1,000th\u00a0point of her career on a free throw in the third quarter.<\/p>\n

Bow 45, Plymouth 30<\/p>\n

Highlights: \u00a0The Falcons won their fourth game in their last five outings, picking up a win over the Bobcats on the road.<\/p>\n

Sanborn 68, John Stark 44<\/p>\n

Key players: \u00a0John Stark<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Elliot Belliveau (16 points), Joey Dykstra (8 points, 8 rebounds), Cam Carpenter (6 points)<\/p>\n

Highlights: The Generals opened strong, leading by three going into the second quarter, but Sanborn came out to a 22-8 second quarter and didn\u2019t look back.<\/p>\n

Coach\u2019s quote: \u201cSanborn played well, but this was easily one of our two worst defensive efforts of the season. Our effort and energy was disappointing. These guys have come a long way this season. I\u2019m looking forward to seeing how we respond as a team.\u201d \u2013\u00a0John Stark\u2019s\u00a0Mike Smith<\/p>\n

Highlights: \u00a0After a 16-16 tie at halftime, the Cougars pulled away in the third quarter to take a 32-26 lead and Whipple went 6-for-6 from the free throw line down the stretch to book Kearsarge\u2019s spot in the quarterfinals on Friday night. The Cougars will host No. 5 Hopkinton.<\/p>\n
