Texas Roadhouse opened for business on Loudon Road in Concord on Monday in the former location of Newicks Lobster House.<\/figcaption><\/figure>

A national chain replaced a family-owned restaurant on Loudon Road as Texas Roadhouse opened its doors on Monday, replacing the Newick\u2019s Lobster House, which closed in March.<\/p>\n

The lobster house building was\u00a0torn down, and replaced by the 7,831-square-foot restaurant, which is adjacent to the Dollar Tree, and will feature 290 indoor seats, patio seating and 220 parking spaces.<\/p>\n

Planning Board members granted conditional approval for the restaurant\u2019s site plan during their December meeting.<\/p>\n

Prior to Monday\u2019s grand opening, while staff members prepared for the new business, money raised from pre-opening events\u00a0was donated to the\u00a0Friends of Forgotten Children and The Community Players of Concord.<\/p>\n

Texas Roadhouse\u00a0has hired 200 employees to cook, clean and serve at the Concord location. The restaurant will serve dinner only Monday through Thursday from 3-10 p.m. and on Friday from 3-11 p.m. Lunch and dinner will be served on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and\u00a0on\u00a0Sundays from 11\u00a0a.m. to\u00a010 p.m.<\/p>\n

Texas Roadhouse first opened in 1993 and has more than 600 locations in 49 states and 10 countries.<\/p>\n

In 2021, Texas Roadhouse ranked third on Newsweek\u2019s list for\u00a0best customer service in\u00a0a casual dining restaurant.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
