For the past several weeks, we\u2019ve been alerting readers to a big change coming in their daily paper. Today, we\u2019re publishing our first Weekend Edition of the Concord Monitor. It\u2019s four pages bigger than the traditional Sunday Monitor and it includes lots of New Hampshire news and sports. You\u2019ll also find your regular features from travel and history to books and business.<\/p>\n

The biggest question we\u2019ve faced in recent weeks is about our puzzles and comics. Two days\u2019 worth of puzzles and comics can be found in the D section. You\u2019ll find the traditional Saturday comics on D2 and the Sunday color comics starting on D3. You\u2019ll see Saturday and Sunday puzzle pages on D6 and D7.<\/p>\n

While we\u2019ll no longer publish a Sunday newspaper, we will continue to post new content throughout the weekend. You can find that on concordmonitor.com.<\/p>\n

And as of this weekend, readers have a whole new way of reading Concord Monitor news. Download the Concord Monitor app at the Apple store or on the Android platform. Our updated app still includes the digital newspaper replica, called the E-Edition. As soon as we post a story, you\u2019ll be able to read it in the app. You can also select your own news feed, set it up to receive news alerts, optimize the reading experience with the size font you like best and pick the color background that\u2019s easiest for you to read. You can also choose between three different story layouts.<\/p>\n

We see our app as a compliment to our offerings, and one that gives readers the greatest ability to customize their reading experience.<\/p>\n

This is the second big addition we\u2019ve brought to our readers in recent weeks. The first was the inclusion of more than 10 years of print replica archives available through the app and on desktop.<\/p>\n

Coming next will be the launch of Puzzmo. These new digital puzzles can be played on your laptop, tablet or smartphone, and you\u2019ll be able to track your own scoring and see how you measure up against others on the leaderboard. You\u2019ll have access to five daily puzzles, including crossword, two other word-based games, a spatial puzzle and a version of chess that\u2019ll challenge your sense of the game.
