I wasn\u2019t surprised to hear that Dustin Duren was a libertarian who moved to New Hampshire as part of the Free State Project. This group has always had more than its share of criminals (Ian Freeman, Aria DiMezzo, Christopher Cantwell, etc.) They claim to be all about \u201cfreedom,\u201d but their brand of freedom often boils down to \u201cfreedom for me but not for thee\u201d based on the way they vote. Then there\u2019s the irritating practice of their members running for state and local offices, always disguised as Republicans or sometimes Democrats, in the hope of getting elected so that they can destroy NH\u2019s institutions from within. <\/p>\n
Free Staters abhor government and the public sector. Isn\u2019t it ironic then, that Mr. Duren will be given a fair trial and legal representation in his upcoming case, thanks to government, and if convicted, will be housed, clothed, fed and cared for by a system funded by the public? Meanwhile, Caitlyn Naffziger no longer enjoys her \u201cfreedom and liberty.\u201d<\/p>\n
