Randy Armstrong<\/h2>\n

What: Hailed by the Boston Globe as a \u201csure-fingered guitar virtuoso,\u201d Randy Armstrong is the co-founder of Do\u2019a World Music Ensemble, Uno Mondo, & Beyond Borders. With a collection of over 300 instruments from around the world, including acoustic, synthesizer and nylon-string guitars, sitar, balofon, djembe, koto, charango, mbira and a wide variety of percussion and stringed instruments, he has amazed audiences throughout the United States, Canada, Alaska, India, West and South Africa, Croatia, Belize, Cuba and Puerto Rico. Randy travelled to Central America and West Africa in 2004 performing and studying with Garifuna musicians and drummers in Dangriga and Hopkins, Belize and Ewe, Fanti and Ga drummers in Accra and Legon, Ghana.<\/p>\n

What: The Majestic Theatre and Ted Herbert Music School present a community event highlighting the music that took the US by storm and changed the face of popular music as we knew it! Fourteen local performers put their spin on some of these classic and memorable songs.<\/p>\n

Midday Mindfulness, Music, and Movement<\/h2>\n

What: Join Concord Community Music School music therapist Tony Varga and dance movement therapist Heather Bigelow Hearne for an interactive experience introducing the benefits of expressive arts therapies. Attendees can enjoy an easily digestible menu of therapeutic exploration by singing, playing instruments and moving right from the comfort of their own seats.<\/p>\n

What: Tom Farmen will present the first Humanities Monday program titled \u201cHow To Self-Publish Your Book.\u201d This fun presentation will briefly work through the checklist of items and the associated costs before your creative plot, dazzling photographs, delicious recipes, or expository masterpiece can find its way to a bookstore shelf or a stranger\u2019s coffee table.<\/p>\n
