Concord beauty salon, Peter\u2019s Images, closed suddenly in January after being in business for 50 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo all of our clients and friends: the sad day has come that we have had to close our doors,\u201d the owners announced on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease understand that this decision was a hard one to make, but all good things must come to an end, as they say,\u201d the owners said. \u201cWe want to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for over 50 years of patronage!\u201d<\/p>\n

Across the street, Alyssa McClary of Penumbra said that about two\u00a0or three\u00a0weeks ago a sign reading, \u2018business closed,\u2019 suddenly went up.<\/p>\n

An occasional confused customer with an appointment at Peter\u2019s has stopped in at her shop across the street to ask if the salon will be reopening. McClary said she hasn\u2019t seen Peter Kapos, the owner of the salon, around since the sign went up.<\/p>\n

Attempts by the Monitor to reach Kapos were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n

The cherished salon has occupied the corner of North State and Warren Street since 1973. They offered hair, nail, massage, and aesthetician services and were hiring in November. Freshly renovated in 2020, the full-service salon space is now listed for lease<\/a>, including a clientele database transfer.<\/p>\n
